(2009) ))), the non-rectangular\nhyperbola model (eq6 (Prioul & Chartier (1977) )), exponential based models\n((eq8 (Webb et al. (1974) )), (eq9\n(Prado & de Moraes (1997) ))), and\nfinally the Ye model (eq11 (Ye (2007) )). The capacity for each of these\nnonlinear least squares models to express photosynthetic\nresponse under changing light conditions has been well\ndescribed and supported in the literature but distinctions in\neach mathematical model represent moderately different\nassumptions about physiology and trait relationships which will\nultimately produce different calculated functional trait\nvalues. These models were all thoughtfully discussed and\ncurated by Lobo et al. (2013) \nto express the importance of selecting an appropriate model for\nanalysis. Each model can be easily tested and compared with\nthis package to ensure accurate evaluations of light response,\nwhich is particularly useful in systems without an established\nphotosynthetic model. To establish a model of best fit, this\npackage includes functions to rapidly test your data with each\nmodel equation, a function to efficiently store all results in\nan array, and a plotting function to visualize differences in\nhow each model represents the photosynthetic light response.\nMethods were established in Davis et al. (2024) \nto evaluate the impact of analytical choice in a phylogenetic\nanalysis of the function-valued trait, and the gas exchange\ndata on 28 sunflower species from that study are included as
